Sony WH-1000XM4 Headphones Packaging /
Reimagined for Audiobook Lovers
This project reimagines the packaging of Sony's noise-cancelling WH-1000XM4 headphones by designing specifically for a niche audience: audiobook lovers. Moving away from the usual performance or music-based branding, this concept taps into a quieter, more immersive user need — the desire to escape reality through stories.

The limited-edition concept uses soft, dreamy illustrations and mood-based color palettes to evoke the emotional escape of listening. Most headphone packaging chases high-performance buzzwords or music-first aesthetics. This project turns the dial towards storytelling, offering an emotionally compelling alternative for a specific growing audience — audiobook listeners. It makes the unspoken act of “putting your headphones on to drift away” feel seen, celebrated and tailored for a community that doesn’t often get noticed in audio tech branding.

-
Packaging Is More Than a Box / I learned to treat packaging like an extension of the product experience—not just a container. From how it opens to how it feels in hand, every detail can reinforce the story you’re trying to tell.
-
Blender Will Humble You / Learning 3D was... a journey. Blender isn’t exactly plug-and-play, and this project reminded me that design isn’t just about passion or ideas—it’s about building skill, failing a lot, and showing up anyway. Progress is in the practice, right?
-
From Vision to Structure / Before this, I mostly focused on how things looked. But diving into dielines, print specs, and structural limitations taught me the real-world side of packaging. I learned how to translate a visual idea into something that folds, fits, and functions.

Seeing Packaging with New Eyes / This project made me look at everyday packaging in a whole new light. I started noticing the tiny details—how it’s structured, the tactile experience, the material choices, and how they all work together to tell a story. I appreciated the thought that goes into every fold, seal, and label, and how those elements influence the consumer’s connection to the brand.
