Bandh Ja / बंधजा
My First Freelance Project
Softwares used : Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, Adobe Ater Effects
Bandh Ja by Janhavi Joshi is a contemporary accessory brand that brings handcrafted charm into bold, everyday styling — from statement berets to playful headbands and block-printed pieces. Deeply rooted in Indian craft, the brand blends tradition with a modern edge.
The rebrand was all about refreshing the visual identity while staying true to its core. Inspired by the original logo, the new direction adds floral elements and a cleaner aesthetic. It feels fresh, familiar, and ready to speak to a new generation styling culture on their own terms.

Freelancing is its own kind of learning curve /
Working with a real client, outside the classroom, was a whole new game. Freelancing for the first time taught me how to communicate ideas clearly, take feedback with grace (and not personally!), and stay accountable to timelines. It pushed me to be professional while still holding on to my creative voice.

A brand is more than its logo /
Visual identity goes way beyond a symbol. Typography, color palette, image direction, tone—each piece adds up to how a brand feels. Through this rebrand, I understood how to create a cohesive system that works across platforms.
