Where Flavour meets Fun!

A playful twist on snacking — this project reimagines 4700BC Gourmet Popcorn for kids, turning every tub into a mini adventure. A playful packaging concept was designed by blending bold colours, nostalgia, and surprise. Each box features a funky popcorn mascot and doubles as a mini treasure hunt—complete with pop-up collectible toys. With bright flavour cues, and a
carry-handle, the packaging turns snacking into a fun, portable experience for kids (and their desks). Because sometimes, the best surprises come with a side of snacks ;)

Brand Analysis = Design Superpower / Digging into the brand’s strategy was like getting the keys to its personality. This skill—of decoding a brand before designing for it—is something I now actively apply to every project. It’s helped me design for the brand, not just around it.

Designing with the Target Audience in Mind /
This project was a real-world reminder that you’re not designing for yourself—you’re designing for someone. I had to pause my own preferences and step into the shoes of a 10-year-old popcorn-loving kid. Understanding what excites them—bright colors, quirky mascots, collectibles—helped me design packaging that wasn’t just attractive, but engaging. That one line from the class reading—"leave your personal biases aside"—has officially stuck with me.

Beyond the Shelf / I now find myself analyzing packaging at stores—how it’s built, who it’s for, what emotions it’s trying to evoke. It’s become second nature to zoom into color choices, materiality, typefaces, and why something feels “fun” versus “fancy.” Observation has quietly become my sharpest design tool.
